Atlanta Jazz Festival | Atlanta, GA
| Memorial Day weekend is all about tradition, and for those who love jazz the Atlanta Jazz Festival has become a unique way to celebrate. Now in its 33rd year, the event, usually held for several weeks in mid-May and ending Memorial Day weekend, is one of the longest running jazz festivals in the country with a mission to expose and entertain a diverse audience of jazz aficionados, young jazz enthusiasts and musical artists to the rich heritage and variety of jazz as an authentic form of traditional music. And despite featuring some of the top names in the genre, it is also one of the biggest free festivals of its kind. Performances are held at various locations throughout Atlanta including: Woodruff Park, Centennial Olympic Park, Underground Atlanta, Churchill Grounds, Piedmont and more. |
