The Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, (formerly the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival), has been running for 15 years, growing from a modest start of 1,500 patrons to more than 25,000 in recent years! Among the roster of international artists who have appeared at the Festival in recent years are Gladys Knight, Ron Isley, Natalie Cole, Diana Ross, Maroon 5, Kenny Rogers, Anita Baker, Hall & Oates, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Maxi Priest, Babyface, The Whispers, Joss Stone, Monty Alexander and Billy Ocean.

When the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival sets the nights to music at the Trelawny Stadium this year (January 26 – 28, 2012) there will be two important anniversaries being celebrated. The 2012 edition will be the Festival’s sweet sixteen, and even more importantly it will also be the first major event to commemorate Jamaica’s 50th year of Independence.

This year’s star-packed field of headliners include mega-diva Celine Dion, soul star Cee-Lo Green,Shaggy, and Grammy-nominated singer Ky-Mani Marley.
