Founded in 1867 as an Episcopalian seminary, Morgan State University is a historically black college with a current enrollment of nearly 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Notable alumnae include Kweisi Mfume, (1976), Former President of the NAACP and US Congressman; Earl Graves, (1957) Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Founder of Black Enterprise Magazine; and W. Wilson Goode, (1961), First African-American Mayor of Philadelphia, PA.
