Old Courthouse | St. Louis, MO

The Old Court House in St. Louis is the site where the Dred Scott case was tried. The Supreme Court denied Scott’s request for freedom in 1857, when the court ruled slaves were not citizens. He eventually received his emancipation but died one year later.
