Held each Memorial Day weekend at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), DanceAfrica is a heritage and community celebration centered on African and African American dance, music, film and art, featuring live music, a film series at BAM Rose Cinemas, master classes, a student-artist sculpture garden, education programs, and an outdoor bazaar.

This year’s fest commerates the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge with the theme “Bridge to Cultural Rejuvenation & Enlightenment.” Visit DanceAfrica’s official website for additional information.
